Connolly Consulting Engineers is managed by a competent staff with extensive individual and combined building systems design and installation experience. Prior to receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky in1985, Tom Connolly, Principal in Charge, gained several years' HVAC installation experience.  After graduation, Tom built his consulting engineering career as a mechanical engineer at some of the best healthcare facilities design consulting firms in Indianapolis, Indiana and Lexington, Kentucky. Tom has been a licensed Professional Engineer since 1989.

From 1997 to 2002, he served Columbia Gas of Kentucky as the Energy Services Engineer for the state of Kentucky, where he specialized in energy analysis and commercial building natural gas systems design.  In 1999, Tom earned his Certified Energy Manager's certification from the Association of Energy Engineers, and takes advantage of his energy expertise on every project.  While at Columbia, Tom served as a team member and leader on a variety of energy and cost-savings task forces, as well as leading a leadership development team for the Leadership Lexington program of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce.
